Coincidences and synchronicities to me are consciousness connections. When you send an idea or question out into the universe, you are connecting to a unified consciousness field. Then you receive a response from that same unified consciousness field. Everything is consciousness. Everything is quantum. Mentality gives direction to consciousness.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful idea, Grace! I completely agree with your perspective on coincidences and synchronicities being consciousness connections.
Often, the answers even show up in ways that make sense to us (hence "coincidence").
And even if we try to cut ourselves off from this field, we're still all interconnected and part of this unified consciousness field.
this piece perfectly summarizes everything I've believed for years, and I am thrilled to find it. "there's no such thing as coincidence" has been my reliable position for I don't know how long. I'm an INTJ, I live by logic, but alignment, synchronicities and not-coincidences guide me daily. can't wait to read more of your work. I write about complex trauma, and the way I came to do that is pure alignment.
Thank you so much! I'm happy to read that this piece resonates with you and your beliefs. I believe it's always refreshing to find like-minded individuals who share similar perspectives. The concept of alignment and synchronicities is truly fascinating, as it demonstrates the interconnectivity and meaningfulness of our experiences.
I can really relate to relying on logic in my decision-making process. But I also recognize the importance of being open to alignment and coincidences/synchronicities guiding us towards where we are meant to be.
Also, I don't think that logic contradicts the idea of alignment and synchronicities.
Just because we, as humans, cannot always see the bigger picture or understand (or prove) all the factors at play doesn't mean there isn't a logical reason behind alignment and synchronicities. In fact, I believe that aligning with our intuition and being open to synchronicities can actually enhance our ability to make logical decisions, as it allows us to tap into a deeper level of understanding and awareness.
Great piece, it resonates with me and the way I think. I hope you’ll checkout my pieces “Mazes & Labyrinths” and “Set the Sky on Fire.” There are many other relevant posts on my page, but these two most recent posts directly correlate with your topic presented here. I’ve been thinking about synchronicity quite a lot lately and Jung’s struggle to define it in scientific terms. It’s not that these things are not inherently scientific, humans just haven’t figured it out yet. Clearly, it’s beyond coincidence when alignment occurs on this level. I believe it has to do with frequency and wavelength, alignment, and manifestation. Great read! I look forward to reading more of your work.
Thank you, Michelle! I'm glad you enjoyed reading this piece and found some resonance with the topic of synchronicity. It's certainly a fascinating concept. Jung's struggle to define it in scientific terms could speak to its complex nature. However, I don't think it's inherently complex. I agree with you and also think that humans just haven't figured it out yet on a larger scale in a mainstream way.
Ancient cultures have long recognized and embraced the idea of synchronicity. If you look into ancient teachings like the Vedas or Daoism, it’s clear that this idea has been around for centuries. Topics like frequency, wavelength, alignment, and manifestation are nothing unusual in those ancient teachings. In fact, they were considered fundamental principles of life. And in these cultures, synchronicity is seen as a natural part of life and the interconnectedness of all things.
However, as society advanced and science became the dominant way of understanding the world (kind of "scientism"), these concepts were often dismissed or labeled as "woo-woo" and not based on empirical evidence. This led to a disconnect between spiritual beliefs and scientific knowledge. They didn't quite understand that only because it's not yet understood by science, doesn't mean it's not real.
But now, with advances in quantum physics and the study of consciousness, science is starting to catch up with what ancient cultures have known for centuries. I'm really looking forward to the time when science and spirituality will work together and complement each other, rather than being seen as opposing forces.
Also, thank you for your recommendations! I'll definitely read your pieces. I'm always happy to expand my perspective on these topics :)

Reminds me of a quote by Rumi - “Everything you see has its roots
in the unseen world. The forms may change,
yet the essence remains the same.”
Yeah this is awesome.
This quote actually perfectly captures the essence of coincidences!
And this quote makes it pretty clear that Rumi was a mystic who believed in cosmic connections :)
